Independence day report

Our NKES High School observed the 77th Independence Day on 15th August 2023 with dignity and honour. The ceremony started at 9 AM in the school premises with a large crowd of teachers, students, and parents. The whole school campus was decorated with tricolor banners, flags and theme based rangoli.
The special occasion started with the hoisting of the tricolor by the Chief Guest Shri Satyanarayana Subba Rao. It was followed by the National Anthem and Marathi Patriotic song. After that, class IX students performed March-past with the Indian Flag to pay tribute to the motherland ‘INDIA’.  A students of class XII had a Prabhat pheri signifying the progress of the nation in these 76 years.
Following the speech in English by Primary section and in Kannada by secondary section, there were dance programs and other cultural events performed by students of primary section. The prizes were distributed to the students who got excellent marks in the previous academic exam 2022-23 including SSC toppers and HSC toppers. The toppers were awarded with cash prize and wrist watch.
The President of the school Shri Parthasarathi Naik Sir addressed the students with his inspiring words. He stressed upon the value of sacrifice, hard work, honesty, character formation and moreover respecting one’s parents and guru as the chief aim of the students. Followed by the Chief Guest’s encouraging words, motivated the students.
The day ended with the National song and distribution of snacks to one and all present for the event.
