Children's Day Celebration - Secondary Section

Children’s Day is celebrated to increase awareness on the rights and education of children every year on November 14. India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru was born on this day in 1889. The Prime Minister, commonly known as Chacha Nehru among children, considered children the real strength of a nation and foundation of society.

Childrens’ Day 2020 celebrations was held virtually amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

On account of Children’s Day on November 14, the Maharashtra state education department had asked schools in the state to celebrate Children’s week between November 8 and 14.The education department had also announced prizes in each category for students between Classes 1 and 12.

As part of the initiative, We at NKES High School had conducted the activities virtually and uploaded photographs of celebrations conducted online. During the week, various competitions such as essay writing, elocution and video making were organised for students by the school.
