Visvesvaraya day ( Science day) was celebrated in NKES High School on Thursday , 15th September 2022 to commemorate  the birth anniversary of Sir M Visvesvaraya .
As a part of the celebration various competitions were conducted from 12th to 15th September 2022  for the students of std  V to X to inculcate  scientific attitude . The competitions were  as follows:
• Chart making  ( V & VI)
• Quiz competition  ( VII & VIII)
• Elocution competition ( IX & X)
• Project making (V to X)
To allow students to engage with engineering concepts in a fun environment and to approach science in a creative way a project making competition was organized for all students from std V to X . Students participated overwhelmingly and there were more than 260 entries.
Programme commenced with lighting the lamp followed by a Prayer and Vigyan geet. An inspirational documentary video was displayed for children so that they would walk down the journey lane of Sir M .V. His qualities like hard work , determination and discipline were also highlighted through clippings sent by his great grand nephew Shri Satish , a close associate of NKES President of NKES High School , Shri Parthasarathi Naik.
Students of primary section showcased their talents by presenting a Fancy dress activity by giving awareness about environment and its conservation . Smt Padmaja Banwasi Madam guided the students and encouraged them to inculcate responsibility and discipline towards mother earth.
