Van Mahotsav is an annual tree-planting festival in India, celebrated in the first week of July. This festival has gained immense national importance and every year, millions of saplings are planted all across India, in observation of the Van Mahotsav week. NKES High School organised VanMahotsav from standard V – X with the intention to inculcate awareness about environment and its benefits. On 29th and 30th July students participated in sapling plantation with special guest Ms. Bhawani Bhargava Madam (Management Member),Smt Uma Maheshwari Madam (Principal ), Smt Vidya Shanbhag Madam (Head of Pre-primary)participated in the event. It is expected that every citizen of India has to plant a sapling in the Van Mahotsav week. It helps spread awareness amongst people about the harm caused by the cutting down of trees.
