Secondary School Recitation And Story Telling Competition

On 2/08/2017 ‘Poetry Recitation Competition’ was held for class Five in three languages i.e. English, Hindi and Marathi. Reciting poetry helps place emphasis on the sound and the rhythm of language, thus building a childs’ phonemic awareness and help to solidify a foundation for reading abilities.

 

The poetry recitation not only are the words used to give a meaning to the poem but the voice, volume inflexion, pitch, pauses and speed of a person contributes to the entire recitation experience as well, enhancing the meaning of the poem. 

On 2/08/2017 ‘Story Telling Competition’ was held for class Six and Class Five in three languages i.e. English, Hindi and Marathi. Story telling is a unique way for students to develop an understanding, respect and appreciation for other cultures and can promote a positive attitude to people from different lands, races and religions. It enhances listening skills, encourages use of imagination and creativity and also increase verbal proficiency
